Mistrus Media is a partnership of authors, film directors, script writers, directors of photography project managers, moderators, trainers and creative individuals, established to create documentary, analytical and creative culture and business projects in form of documentaries, TV programs, advertisements, discussion groups, research projects, conferences and training of creative thinking.
Film and TV studio Mistrus Media was established in 2000 by journalist and political scientist Gints Grube inviting professionals of different fields that think alike in order to develop and create documentaries, features, TV programs and other projects.
We are - a film studio - creative labpratory - independent producer. Mistrus Media develops and produces a project together with you from the moment of the birth of an idea until the result is delivered to the audience, user or client. Our main principle is to be open to any ideas if only they work to make this world more interesting, responsible and rich.
For a longer period of time the creative group of Mistrus Media was succesfuly co-producing series of TV programs "The Evening Interview" (broadcasted on Latvian TV Channel 1). This program has been repeatedly awarded by the National TV and Radio Council as the best TV program of the year.
Currently studio is working on development of several new TV projects as well as production and development work on five new documentaries.
Producers of Mistrus Media are members of the European Documentary Network.
"Mistrus" means diversity. It is a Latvian word which is unfortunately not used enough in the active language and our objective is to assign modern meaning, content and form to it. We think that it is time to diversify (mistrot - lat.) different media and remote fields in a common space. That is the only way how things can be created and happen today.
