To Be Continued. Teenhood

In 2015, filmmaker Ivars Seleckis began his work on the documentary "To Be Continued” following five Latvian children during their first year of school.
Seven years later directors Ivars Seleckis and Armands Začs revisit the protagonists who are now 14 years old. Some have grown up during these seven years, some seem to be still lingering in childhood. While for Zane the only duty at home is to tidy up her room, Anastasia has to take her little brother to kindergarten and take care of the livestock. While Kārlis asks his mother to check his homework every evening and Gleb’s parents plan his daily routine hour by hour, Anete is allowed to live alone in the Riga city apartment for a whole week.

International premiere at the documentary film festival IDFA, Amsterdam, 2024, festival programme SIGNED.

Documentary is financed by the National Film Centre of Latvia - ERDF / REACT-EU project for the "Growth of Latvian film industry companies, promoting their professional performance" Nr.13.1.4.0/22/I/001).
